Chiropractor and Yoga Teacher

Dr. Griffiths is a Chiropractor and Yoga Teacher, practicing in Guelph, Ontario.  Dr. Griffiths’ undergraduate academic journey began at the University of Guelph where she majored in Biomedical Science.  In her fourth year of the program, she completed research under Professor and Chiropractor Dr. John Srbely, investigating pain patterns in patients diagnosed with chronic pain.  This led Dr. Griffiths to developing a particular interest in assessing and treating chronic pain.  She went on to complete her Doctor of Chiropractic degree, graduating Summa Cum Laude from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.

In 2016, Kirstie embarked on a one-month intensive Yoga Teacher Training program in Nicaragua where she acquired her 200-Hour level certification.  She currently offers yoga classes publicly at the University of Guelph, Movati Athletic, and Fitness Junction.  Dr. Griffiths offers a yoga therapy program for low back pain that combines education, movement, and meditation that is specific to back pain.  These programs are offered as a chiropractic service and are eligible for coverage through extended health benefits.   

Dr. Griffiths also holds certifications in Mental Health First Aid, as well as Standard First Aid and CPR/AED.   

As a health care provider, Dr. Griffiths values an integrative model of care that is evidence-based, and emphasizes the mind-body connection and the role it plays in wellness.  As a chiropractor, Dr. Griffiths offers hands on, multi-modal treatment to ease pain and improve function, and incorporates physical rehabilitation and yoga therapy in patient care.  She also offers customized advice on diet, nutrition and exercise, and provides a space to discuss goals as well as everyday stressors and strategies to overcome obstacles to wellness.
